African Penguin Exhibit and Feeding
Daily at California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco
Watch the African Colony penguins maintain their shelters and dive in the water,
and enjoy feeding shows every day at 11 am and 3:30 pm. During the shows, visitors may watch and ask questions
as one the Academy's aquatic biologists dons a wet suit, takes temperature measurements, and then tosses
vitamin-stuffed herring and capelin to the penguins. Each feeding takes 20 minutes. For more information and

Wild About Otter Exhibit
Daily at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
Six African spotted-necked otters (including two young pups) and four Asian small-clawed otters will captivate
your heart and take your on a journey into their native African and Asian habitats. There, you'll encounter tropical
freshwater fishes, reptiles and plants. The exhibit shares the otters' unique stories and personalities through caretakers'

Circus! Science Under the Big Top

More than 5,000 square feet of circus spectacle and science-from the high wire to the lemonade... Daring you:
- To walk a tightrope 9 feet above ground to understand balance, concentration and the body's reaction to risk
- To time yourself on a piece of tightrope to see how long you can hold your balance.
- To twirl through the air like an "Elastic Acrobat" to feel angular momentum at work.
- To compare your strength to legendary performer "The Mighty Atom" and measure your force while trying to shape a steel bar.

Green Farm
Daily from July 1st through September 30th at Coyote Point Museum in San Mateo
What is a green farm? It's a self-sustained farm that generates everything it needs within its boundaries. You will find delightful chicks chirping in their hatchery and goats waiting to be brushed by little hands. These creatures are also participating in the cycle of sustainability. Toddler Tuesday: Color My World
Tuesday, July 10th & July 24th from 10am to 1pm at Coyote Point Museum in San Mateo
Toddler Tuesday is a unique hands-on, environmental education-themed, early childhood program.
On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month (except where noted,) Coyote Point Museum hosts this
activity for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Toddler crafts, exploration activities,
and live animal presentations are part of this program. Each month has a different theme.

Organic Foods: Full Moon Feast
Thursday, July 26th 8pm at Keplers Book Store in Menlo Park
Chef and food activist Jessica Prentice will introduce her book Full Moom Feast which champions locally grown, humanely raised, nutrient-rich foods and traditional cooking methods. The book follows the thirteen lunar cycles of an agrarian year. Each chapter includes recipes that display the richly satisfying flavors of foods tied to the ancient rhythm of the seasons. After, farmers from Hidden Villa’s Los Altos Hills Community Supported Agriculture Program will be presenting information about their small-scale, organic, biodiverse, direct market farm. Star Gazing with Peninsula Astronomical Society
